What has been shown?

Opener has shown either an unbalanced hand with no suit longer than the bid major suit or a balanced hand with less than 14 hcp.

Responder's 2D is artificial, showing support for opener's suit and 8 losers.

Strategy

With more than 6 losers opener should rebid 2H/S, which will be passed by responder. With any stronger hand that is not interested in a slam, opener simply rebids 4H/S. Any other bid by opener is slam-seeking.

Continuations

2/
A sign-off. Opener knows that game cannot be on. Opener may be light or have minimum full values, or may be balanced with a 4-card suit. Any of these hands should sign off in 2H/S. Responder should pass.
4/
Also a sign-off, but this time opener has enough for game. Responder should pass.

Natural and forcing to game, invitational to slam.
